Welcome to the UpStartVC Podcast. This week we chat to Vuyani Tati the Financial Manager at Startupbootcamp AfriTech and try to discuss diversity in the startup ecosystem.
Okay 😃😃😃 so I took a seat and dug deep to see how I could, in words, express how delightful I found this and why.
(Self-interest really... ensuring the hits keep on coming)
There are so many podcasts....
Then somehow this one is managing to be amongst the few that captivate in an area that has otherwise been victim of over-labored points and empty rhetoric.
It's doing it seamlessly with fascinating local takes, thoughtful insights and refreshing angles.
I'm a happy listener.
This podcast did it again here as it explored the considerations to be made while navigating from the 'study bubble' to the real world.
Then the 'how to' in connecting, with clarity, one's desire to engage and transform a system to the paving of the way for the means to actually do it.
Oh and that thing where this is a wonderful blend between an interview and a discussion😃!! (An intercusssion lol!)
Particularly the beginning highlighting individual backgrounds and why they are they integral in perceiving the value of the vision formed.😃😃!
This☝🏽 I saw as key to the grit required to persist in the face of obstacles.
Vuyani Tati "walking" us through his journey and the solutions he aims to bring...yes I enjoyed this.
His response to what would he do differently and his greatest joy👌🏾👌🏾
"Changing the 'hustling for hustling's' sake mentality... "
"Funding is important but it isn't everything...The best form of funding anyone can get is sales...more of a validation on the business idea than getting an investor at the table."
Startupbootcamp is inspiring.
The research note great for printing out and making notes on.
